2023 ¡Fiesta For Firsts! Recap and Photos

On June 13, 2023 at Manhattan’s Scandinavia House, supporters of The American Dream School came together to raise more than $80,000 at the second ¡Fiesta For Firsts! spring fundraiser! Guests enjoyed generously donated cuisine by Tacombi, live music and DJ by Univision, floral centerpieces by Ovando and a specialty cocktail by Bēzu Mezcal as well as a silent auction. The evening also featured poignant remarks by American Dream School alumni Layla Clemente (‘21) and Joanna Ramirez (‘22), Founder and Executive Director Melissa Melkonian and ¡Fiesta For Firsts! Chair Tanya Garzon. The funds raised will go to scholarships and microgrants for American Dream School students and alumni, bridging financial gaps and smoothing their paths to becoming the first generation of their families to graduate college. 2022 Recap: Inaugural ¡Fiesta For Firsts! in Photos

On Wednesday, June 1st, 2022, at Tacombi's Flatiron location, more than 120 friends of The American Dream School came together in a very special and important way in support of the first-generation-American, first-generation-to-college students and their families.

Our gratitude to Tacombi's leadership and staff for so graciously hosting us, and to our Advisory Board for its leadership in designing and championing the event.
